Philosophy​

All medicine has an underlying philosophy, whether implicit or explicit.  When receiving medicine of any kind, biomedicine, acupuncture, and herbal medicine included, the reasoning behind taking the medicine must be accepted by the patient.  When considering what treatment to give a patient, this is the initial and most important aspect of the patient/doctor relationship. 

My work is grounded in understanding the patient according to their own experience, and translating it into both an East Asian philosophical epistemology and a Western biomedical epistemology.  In short, your experience of health and wellbeing is assessed in two different frameworks to come up with the most effective personal treatment possible.
